Lua server forum

As it is an important topic, I decided to make this new forum to put all about lua in it.

so since this morning, I installed the lua mod.
(sveark did a very good work)

But there is a little issue.

the lua modded serveur can't be created like a normal server.

"WARNING: masterserver registration failed: failed pinging server"

so what can i do to create my lua server ?

I tried all the afternoon but no way....

have you an idea, please ?

I already know how to make a "normal" ac server.
I just did not understand the world "portforward" ^^

The problem is only with the lua server.
My normal serveur work fine.

My normal server and the lua server are using the same ports
but I don't use the two servers at once !

So what is the cause of the problem ???

try to disable firewall...

I don't think my normal server could work if the firewall was involved...

it's a mystery for me.

i thought of the mighty problems within windows... dunno then.
i had it that problem with firewaalll.

Try to get on irc within this next 2weeks, it would be easier to help you on it...
For now, I agree with you, it seems not to be a firewall problem, anyway try to remove it once... If it is not the firewall, we will think about it more.
Sorry for not trusting you, but, are you sure the same port is used for normal and lua server?
Last thing: can you copy/paste also the lines before this warning please?

I don't know hot to log, let me search a little.
To copy, right click, then selection: you selection an are to copy with mouse.
And then press enter. It should be copy...

my private server uses ports 28765 and 28766 and my server public: 28763 and 2876. so it's not a problem wearing.

i may be wrong but:

definitly a firewall problem.
perhaps the router?

add -kA0 -V to the server.bat
no autokick¦ verbosemode means more info.

try to only run the modddded server alone. with def.ports.
additionally try to use anther machine.
try to reset (CHECK) the routersettings.
use other ports(?)

I don't check the routersettings but i'll try this week.

So I'll ask to a friend to host my modded server, I don"t have any other solutions.
Then I'll see if it's a firewall problem.
